This was a solution to the problem of what to call the USSR at the 1992 Euro Championships. As a result we got the CIS who were even subjected to a sound beating by my beloved Scotland. As you would imagine the 3-0 beating doled out to the CIS came only after Scotland were eliminated from the tournament.
