I worked for Diadora for a short time and, being and Italian company, this colour was known as gialo fluo, not bright yellow. The traditional song for football crowds when abusing the poor old ref is "Who's the b*****d in the black?"  To be honest I don't think that "Who'sthe b*****d in the gialo fluo?" has the same ring to it.
