The town of Aldershot has a footballing history longer than the club's badge would suggest. The town's original club Aldershot FC went out of business in 1992 and Aldershot Town was formed straight afterwards. The club's phoenix emblem is symbolic of the whole "rising from the ashes" origins. The shirt itself is fairly well made if a little heavier than contemporary rivals. It's well finished and detailed and the motto at the bottom of the back of the shirt is stitched rather than printed.
