Once again I am indebted to Canadian collector Gareth DeAngelis who sent this utterly fantastic shirt to me to enhance the collection.  This just goes to show that black shirts are cool. This shirts home equivalent is also on the site in a colour which I think is described as "Pacific Teal". I get the impression that in the early and mid 1990s the USA was gripped in a teal frenzy. The San Jose Sharks ice hockey team were spawned at a similar time and they play in teal too. Anyway, this shirt is black and all the cooler for it. This shirt was worn by the one and only Eric Wynalda, arguably the finest American player of his generation. Wynalda was something of a trailblazer playing in Germany back when the USA was a footballing backwater and American players in Europe were a rarity. This is one of those museum exhibits you should take your time over and savour.
