This was not a happy shirt for West Ham. Firstly their sponsor went out of business meaning they played a good part of the season with naff looking, unconvincing numbers stuck over the sponsor's logo on the chest. The shirt is a good example of Umbro shirts of the time being well made with good detailing and finishing.
